This patient is a young male with an athletic build presents with fullness of his chest behind the nipples. He works out quite frequently but couldn’t ‘melt away’ the puffiness behind the nipple region. This is often the case in males who develop puffiness behind the nipples due to excess fibroglandular tissue which can only be treated with direct surgical excision. A small incision along the inferior periareolar region is all that is required to remove this excess glandular tissue. The resulting scar is usually imperceptible over time. Note the significant improvement in the contour after the surgery. Some patients who have diffuse fatty tissue of the breast would also benefit from simultaneous liposuction.
